Cypresses are evergreen coniferous or scaly-leaved trees related to pines. Many species and varieties of the junipers, related to the cypress family, can be seen here. On the left are the tall, tree-like Virginia juniper (Juniperus virginiana), the common juniper (Juniperus communis), and the Chinese juniper (Juniperus chinense). Evergreen rarities include the California nutmeg tree (Torreya californica), the Oregon yew (Taxus brevifolia) and the common yew (Taxus baccata). The most complete collection of Leyland cypress varieties in the country can be seen in our Garden.

A ciprusfélék a fenyőkkel rokon tű- vagy pikkelylevelű örökzöldek. Rokonságukból a borókaféléknek különösen sok faját, változatát láthatjuk itt. Balra a magas fatermetű virginai borókát, a hazai alföldünkön is elterjedt közönséges borókát és az elterülő hajtásaival díszítő kínai boróka fajtáit találjuk. A Kertben örökzöld ritkaság a kaliforniai nagymagvú tiszafa, az oregoni tiszafa és a rövid levelű tiszafa. A hazai legteljesebb leyland-ciprus fajtagyűjtemény kertünkben látható.
