AboutLeírás

Parrotia persica, the Persian ironwood, is a deciduous tree in the family Hamamelidaceae, closely related to the witch-hazel genus Hamamelis. It is native to the Caspian region of northern Iran (where it is called انجیلی anjili) and southeastern Azerbaijan (where it is called Dəmirağacı). It is endemic in the Alborz mountains, where it is found mainly in Golestan National Park.

A perzsa varázsfa, kaukázusi varázsfa vagy iráni varázsfa (Parrotia persica) lombhullató fa a csodamogyoró-félék (Hamamelidaceae) családjából, a Parrotia nemzetség egyetlen faja, de szorosan kapcsolódik a csodamogyoró (Hamamelis) nemzetséghez. Őshonos Észak-Iránban, ahol endemikus az Alborz hegyekben. A Parrotia nemzetség a német származású természettudósról, Friedrich Parrot-ról (1792-1841) kapta a nevét.
