On the hill in front of us, we get a taste of the diverse flora of the dry grasslands of the Hungarian Middle Mountains. The Smoketree bush (Cotinus coggygria), famous for its fiery red autumn foliage, and the rock wormwood (Artemisia alba) evoke the atmosphere of the Mediterranean. A rarity in the Mecsek mountain range is the Paeonia banatica (peony of Bánság). The Buda rabbit-tail grass (Sesleria sadleriana) is a speciality of the limestone rocky meadows. Among the plants of the dry grasslands of the rocky slopes, you can find here the bluish meadow-rue, the pheasant's eye (Adonis vernalis), the bloody crane's-bill (Geranium sanguineum), and the leopard's bane (Doronicum hungaricum).

Magyar Középhegység száraz gyepjeinek változatos flórájából kapunk ízelítőt az előttünk magasodó dombon. Az őszi tűzvörös lombszíneződéséről nevezetes cserszömörce és a sziklai üröm a mediterrán tájak hangulatát idézi. A Mecsek ritkasága a bánsági bazsarózsa. A mészkő sziklagyepek nevezetessége a budai nyúlfarkfű. A sziklás lejtők száraz gyepjeinek növényei közül megismerhetjük itt a kékes borkórót, a tavaszi héricset, a pirosló gólyaorrt, a magyar zergevirágot.
